Hey everybody, Joe Reed here with Home Run Solutions. Hey, I want to talk a little bit today about construction schedule. Far too often people are so eager to get the project going and they focus on the start date. It’s really the end date that’s going to be the important one. You want to know going through that a contractor can not only estimate the budget for the project, but can also estimate a schedule. There’s a lot of moving parts that go into a kitchen remodel, an addition, or a bathroom remodel. Their ability to accurately estimate that timeline is going to give you the confidence that they know what they’re doing.

They’re going to have a good relationship with sub-contractors to come and go. Scheduling the materials is also important. You want to make sure that they have a good handle on all that’s going into it. For them to show you that timeline and be able to walk you through it incrementally is going to give you peace of mind. It’s going to let you know the days that you may be without power or water. It’s going to allow you to plan, so that the project has the least amount of impact on your life. Those are some of the things that are going to help for your happiness throughout the project and then also at the end – knowing exactly when that project is going to be completed and when you can have a party at the end of it. Okay, hope that helps. If you’re looking for other resources, visit our website homerunsolutions.net. We’ve got a great downloadable e-book called, ‘How to Hire a Contractor Without Contracting an Ulcer‘. Good tips and checklists in there. Some other good strategies to use prior to working with a contractor in the area. Hope that helps. Have a great one.
